"What did you do over Christmas?" -"I went to Iraq!"

This kid is awesome!!  Here is the short summary, Teenager from Florida goes to Iraq by himself without telling his parents.  He is now on his way home safely.

I think he was going with journalistic intentions and to help a "neighbor" in need.

This is what he said in an email that is right on.

"There is a struggle in Iraq between good and evil,between those striving for freedom and liberty and those striving for death and destruction. You are aware of the heinous acts of the terrorists ... For their goals to be thwarted, decent individuals must answer justice's call for help ... So I will."

Not sure what he planned on doing and it was pretty stupid and risky but you have to give him credit for going through with it.  Someone with this much drive will go far in life.  What a great story he will have to tell when he gets back.

"What did you do over Christmas?"

"I went to my grandmas.  What did you do?"

"I went to Iraq!"
